The criminals, disguised under personal protective equipments (PPEs), stabbed and hurled corrosive substance at two security guards in order to escape after their failed attempt. Two injured security guards Masud Rana and Habibur Rahman have been admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra. Speaking to Dhaka Tribune Motahar Hossain, manager of Rupali Bank's Sabekpara branch, said the masked robbers first broke into the bank through the roof door around 5:30am. Spotting the bank robbers, two Ansar members, guarding the bank, proceeded to resist their entry. Injured Masud managed to injure one of the robbers, snatching a knife off of them, before the gang fled the scene.
