The world number eight had led going into the final round of a weather-affected event in San Antonio. MacIntyre actually trailed eventual winner JJ Spaun by three shots with just two holes remaining. Spaun also edged out MacIntyre in last year's US Open for his maiden major victory. The eagle on 17 ultimately won MacIntyre over $400,000 as it moved him up four places on the leaderboard. MacIntyre has three top 10s in seven tournaments this season and hasn't missed a cut on the PGA Tour.
