Begum Rokeya University Dhaka TribuneThey alleged that the VC takes classes until midnight when he comes to the campus from DhakaStudents at Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur have laid siege to the vice-chancellor’s (VC) residence in protest at troubles they face for attending his classes until midnight. Students of Shahid Mukhtar Elahi and Bangabandhu halls laid siege to the VC’s residence early on Monday in protest at the incident. The students withdrew their siege around 3:30am after the VC assured them that he will no longer take classes at night. University student Pomel Barua said, especially female students, have to face numerous problems for attending these classes until midnight. He, however, declined to comment on midnight classes taken by the VC.
