Universal MusicThe Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan are among artists leading this year’s record crop of musical box sets. The box set of vinyl singles contains reproductions of the flexidiscs originally mailed to fan club members between 1963 and 1969. Those listeners that thought that The Early Years 1965-1972 box set, costing about $480, was the last word might think again. For children of the 1960s, The Beach Boys offer the 1967 – Sunshine Tomorrow box set, which also has a digital version containing 109 tracks. The box sets are especially prized by wealthy and loyal fans who have grown up with their idols’ music.
