A conga-inspired charity single will soon be released by Maidenhead’s Rosie’s Rainbow Fund. Co-penned by the charity’s founder Carolyn Mayling and Dean Amer, it is hoped that the catchy tune will revive the upbeat dance craze once again. Rehearsals are currently underway at Redroofs School for the Performing Arts in Maidenhead where fifteen young performers are adding vocals to ‘Rosie’s Rainbow Conga.’ Following a trip to London’s Crypt Recording Studio the song will be released this April. Accompanying the single is a new children’s book, Rosie’s Rainbow Conga, written by Carolyn Mayling. Live performances of both the song and the book will air for the first time at the Wycombe Swan on Saturday, June 14, during ‘Rosie’s Rainbow Gala,’ an annual fundraiser celebrating the charity’s vital work.
