The Rotary Club of Diss and District has once again supported Waveney Food Bank by continuing a partnership which has helped families for several years – particularly during the winter months. In the past four years, the Rotary Club has donated 12 kettles, 80 slow cookers and, this year, 11 air fryers. Picture: SubmittedThese items are allocated by Waveney Food Bank to users deemed to be in greatest need, providing practical assistance to families struggling to heat and cook food. Club representatives said food poverty and fuel poverty ‘often go hand in hand’, and the donations aim to help ease the pressure on vulnerable households during the festive period and help those in need have a better Christmas.
