Arthur Cahill, 40, was rehearsing a “prison escape scene” for the opera David Bek at the college’s Britten Theatre in December 2015 when he fell backwards from a four-foot high platform and injured his spine, he claims. Mr Cahill said that the fall and injuries left him with chronic pain and numb hands, and he is suing the college, a trustee of the opera company and the stage manager, for £25,500 in damages.
