The Royal Family are among the world leaders who have expressed condolences with Canadians in the wake of the mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. On X, King Charles said he and Queen Camilla were profoundly shocked and saddened and described the shooting as a senseless act of brutal violence. The King said that in such a closely connected town, every child’s name will be known and every family will be a neighbour…. My wife and I stand in solidarity with the people of Tumbler Ridge and all Canadians as they seek understanding, healing and strength. Local police say nine people were killed and at least 25 more were injured after the shooting in the community of Tumbler Ridge on Tuesday.
