A haul of 437 kilos of smuggled turmeric worth around Rs.3 million was seized by the Sri Lanka Army Commando Regiment during a patrol in Kakativu Island, Mannar, the Defence Ministry said today. The stock of raw turmeric was handed over to the Kakativu Police for further investigations, the Army said.
