WASHINGTON:US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday said that the United States appreciates Pakistan’s support and participation in the Gaza Board of Peace. According to the spokesperson for the US Department of State, Secretary Rubio met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Washington. During the meeting, Secretary Rubio thanked Pakistan for supporting President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan and for participating, as a founding member, in the inaugural session of the Board of Peace. The US Secretary of State also welcomed Pakistan’s participation in the recent ministerial meeting on critical minerals held in Washington. He discussed the development of the critical minerals and energy sectors, as well as trade and investment opportunities for US companies.
