Photo: MintMumbai: The Indian rupee on Thursday closed over one-week low against the US dollar, after local equity markets fell for fourth consecutive sessions. The rupee ended at 64.08 a dollar, a level last seen on 31 July, down 0.38% from its Wednesday’s close of 63.84. The rupee opened at 63.92 a dollar and touched a high and a low of 63.89 and 64.09, respectively. The dollar index, which measures the US currency’s strength against major currencies, was trading at 93.622, up 0.08% from its previous close of 93.548.
