Share:ISLAMABAD - The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee against US dollar depreciated by 16 paisas in the interbank trading on Thursday to close at Rs170.87 against the previous day’s closing of Rs170.96. According to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 171.1 and Rs 172.1 respectively. Similarly, the price of euro remained unchanged to close at Rs197.68, the State Bank of Pakistan reported. The Japanese Yen remained unchanged to close at Rs 1.53, whereas a decrease of 24 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs232.21 as compared to its last closing of Rs232.45. The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 02 paisas each to close at Rs 46.51 and Rs 45.56 respectively.
