Upon arrival, crews found smoke emanating from the basement area of the home. The quick response and effective action taken by all involved ensured the safety of the occupants and minimized potential damage. The Russell Springs Volunteer Fire Department was not alone in this effort and extends sincere gratitude to the Russell County EMS (RCEMS), Eli Fire Department, Jamestown Fire Department, and Kentucky Utilities (KU) for their invaluable assistance and cooperation at the scene. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and further details will be provided as they become available.
