Samples of the deadly novichok agent which left Sergei Skripal, his daughter Yulia and Detective Sergeant Nick Bailey fighting for their lives will be sent to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in the Hague. The organisation yesterday refused to comment on the first attack in Europe involving chemical weapons since the Second World War. A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office declined to specify whether a team from the OPCW would come to Britain to collect the nerve agent, or whether the UK would send the substance.
