Russia has unveiled a battlefield robot armed with a rapid-fire mortar system capable of 'loading and firing rounds without any human input'. After firing, an automated mechanical arm swings into action, swiftly inserting fresh rounds into the mortar tube. Ukraine has fought back by developing its own long-range drones, which now reach targets some 900 miles inside Russia. Russia's Defence Ministry said that air defences downed 50 Ukrainian drones overnight. Last week, Ukraine's drones struck oil facilities in the Gulf of Finland, in northwest Russia.
