Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that the international community should do all in its power to prevent terrorists from migrating to other countries once they are routed in Syria and Iraq during a meeting with Iraq’s Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari. “Now the key forefront of this battle is ongoing in Iraq and neighboring Syria,” Lavrov said, adding that “the task of all participants of anti-terrorists is to defeat terrorist groups such as the Islamic State and Jabhat al-Nusra and minimize, if not nullify, their chances of moving to other regions of the globe.”Talks between Lavrov and al-Jaafari centered around the fight against terrorism in the Middle East, in particular, and the region in general.
