A section of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto has disclosed plans to coronate the DP as Mt Kenya's regional Kingpin in a church ceremony. According to a report by Nation, Ruto will unveil his contest team including his running mate from the Mt Kenya region during the hallmark ceremony. FileFurther, Muranga senator Irungu Kang'ata affirmed that they were working on a programme that would see strategic churches used during the ceremony. Key allies of the Ruto regime have been fronted to be the potential running mates of the DP. This has led the allies from various counties listing among their demands, to have the running mate slot come from their particular region.
