Rwanda, Hungary sign agreement to further nuclear know-how


Rwanda is looking to increase its nuclear expertise capabilities after the recent signing of an agreement between the East African country and Hungary. The agreement entails the training and educating of Rwandans in different fields, including the effective use of nuclear energy. Nuclear energy programme part of Rwanda’s long-term socio-economic plan“We appreciate that. We’ll also be working with Hungary to train Rwandans in the field of nuclear energy, an important component of our future energy plants,” Kagame said. “The government of Rwanda has therefore established the Rwanda Atomic Energy Board to play a vital role in accelerating atomic energy development in clean energy power production, food and agriculture, health, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, industry, environment, geology and mining.”
