Ryan Garcia captured the WBC welterweight title with a unanimous decision win over Mario Barrios at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Garcia has been unsteady at times in his career, but this was not one of those times. The Ring contextualized Garcia's efficiency compared to the last time we saw in the ring. None had brought him a world title. Stevenson beat Garcia when they were both amateurs and a rematch would certainly draw a ton of interest.
