AdvertisementWhile the Justice Department aggressively shielded the names of powerful men mentioned in the documents, it failed to extend the same care to survivors of Epstein’s crimes. Many women have chosen ― often at great personal cost, including threats on their lives ― to speak publicly about the abuse they suffered. Survivors of Epstein’s crimes said the glib mea culpa the DOJ offered wasn’t cutting it. Publishing victims’ names and photos is not an isolated incident, either.
