ShareUkheshe, the South Africa fintech payments startup, has emerged second at the first KPMG Private Enterprise Global Tech Innovator Africa Competition. The company runs a locally developed universal API that has onboarded several telcos, banks, fintechs, merchants, apps, you name it. Africa has witnessed a year-on-year explosion in fintech investment. A majority of the unicorns across Africa are fintechs, most of which have significantly scaled across their regions.
