SadongdongThe Philippine National Police’s (PNP’s) elite Special Action Force (SAF) unit has taken over the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) Medium Security Compound in Muntinlupa City following the transfer of illegal drug transactions there. Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, PNP spokesperson, said that a major clearing operation which was conducted just last Thursday at the Medium Security Compound resulted in the seizure of various illegal drugs and other prohibited items. Bulalacao said the SAF-led operation, dubbed as “OPLAN Lightning Strike 2,” resulted on the confiscation of 54 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), a sachet of suspected marijuana, other drug paraphernalia, cash amounting to R81,453, several electronic gadgets and appliances, bladed and pointed weapons, and other contraband.
