Virtually, this order allowed the police to proceed further in the investigation. However, in the second verdict, the high court judge set aside the order of judicial magistrate directing the police to further probe into the case. While deciding the matter, the apex court bench said that there is no doubt about the “confusing nature of contradictory orders” passed by the high court. The top court held that the second verdict of the high court setting aside the order of judicial magistrate was not required at all.
