Donald Trump has tried to link Clinton to Wall Street, too, an effort made a bit trickier by Trump's decision to start fundraising from Wall Street himself. But Wall Street has a lot of money, and that money offers a lot of influence over the economy, and that means that Wall Street has a lot of clout on Capitol Hill. People like the idea of getting rich, and people know that Wall Street makes folks rich, but everyone also knows that Wall Street isn't making them rich. Wall Streeters track the latest polling about Wall Street or track money or something. This was an exit poll in New York, mind you, which also happens to be where Wall Street lives.
