Ontario's police watchdog is investigating after an 18-year-old man died while under police guard at a Mississauga hospital. An 18-year-old man fled before officers arrived at the home, the SIU said. He was located shortly afterwards, taken into custody under the Mental Health Act and transported to hospital. No further details have been released by the SIU or by Peel police. The SIU is an arm's length agency that investigates incidents involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
