SL Ambassador to Qatar thanks Emir, asks Lankan expats to remain vigilant View(s):Sri Lanka’s ambassador to Qatar, Sithara Khan, has joined the Lankan community in the state to place on record the country’s appreciation to the Emir and the government of Qatar for the assurances of security and the measures taken so far to safeguard all citizens, residents and visitors in the country. Ms Khan requested Lankans living and working in Qatar to act with understanding and remain resilient during these challenging times. “The Qatar Government continues to give its commitment to ensure the safety of residents in Qatar, as well as the uninterrupted provision of essential supplies and healthcare services. She added that the embassy is in close contact with the Qatar authorities, and the government of Sri Lanka remains confident that the situation will return tonormal soon.
