-LTF Pledges Continued Technical SupportAlthough the SOS Children Village’s focus is to rescue orphaned or abandoned children; however, since 2015, over 40 children have been trained to play ‘lawn’ tennis, and at least 8 of them have been called up to join the Lone Star Tennis team. To support the recreational program, the president of Liberia Tennis Federation, Clarence L. Simpson, III, last Friday donated 102 tennis balls and 16 tennis rackets to the SOS. The LTF boss made the donation during the 2017 Year-end Recognition Program for Local Sponsors and Staff, at a resort in Monrovia. “We are pleased to be a partner to SOS Children’s Village Liberia to train the kids in tennis, to enable them to become fit, skillful and play competitively in the game of tennis,” Simpson said. The donation also included 15 junior rackets and an approved International Tennis Federation (ITF) senior racket.
