Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino /HANDOUTI think one of the things that seems to work for Babu Owino is that a number of young voters of his age range see him as a reflection of themselves. He is vocal, he is very radical or appears to be very radical, he is one guy who has created the impression that if given a chance he can overhaul the system. A lot of young people, and Kenyans in general, who seem opposed to the status quo want somebody who can literally upset the status quo and overhaul it, and hopefully for the good of society. There is something about him that resonates with people of different generations. Even if you have discussions with older people, they think that he can make a better leader than other people of his generation and positions of leadership.
