MANILA, Philippines – More Filipinos believed that their lives improved, latest results from Fourth Quarter 2018 survey of Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed on Thursday. ADVERTISEMENTIn the poll conducted from Dec. 16 to 19, 2018, 37 percent of adult Filipinos said their lives “improved” while 25 percent said their lives “worsened.”SWS also found that 45 percent are optimists or Filipinos who expected that their personal quality of life will improve in the next 12 months. Meanwhile, five percent of Filipinos were pessimists as they expected that their personal quality of life will get worse. SWS also said the survey received net personal optimists score of +40 which was 13 points higher than +27 in September 2018. The survey had a sampling error margins of ±2.6% for national percentages, and ±5% each for Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas and Mindanao.
