Winning the toss, Uttara decided to put Abahani in to bat first and initially took the first wicket when the score was on 22. From there, opener Jahurul Islam (45) and Nazmul Hosain Shanto took the score past 100 before Jahurul departed. In reply, Abahani bowled with fire to have Uttara bowled out for just 96 in 33 overs. Rubel Hossain was especially impressive taking 3/16 in five overs while Ariful Hasan and Sabbir took two apiece.
