(AEV) has named Sabin Aboitiz as its new president and chief executive officer (CEO) effective January 1, 2020, replacing elder brother Erramon who announced his retirement. In a disclosure on Wednesday, AEV said its board of directors had approved a management shake-up that will see Endika Aboitiz as its new chairman, Mikel Aboitiz as vice-chairman and Ana Delgado as a new board member. Sabin, 53, has served the Aboitiz Group for 32 years, holding various positions including chief operating officer and executive vice-president of AEV. He concurrently heads subsidiaries Pilmico Foods Corp., Aboitiz InfraCapital Inc., AEV CRH Holdings Inc., Filagri Holdings Inc., AEV Aviation Inc. and Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corp. He is also serving as director in units such as UnionBank of the Philippines, Aboitiz & Co. Inc., AboitizLand Inc., AP Renewables Inc., Aboitiz Power Generation Inc., AP Renewables Inc. and Republic Cement & Building Materials Inc., among others.
