Several local golf clubs have been sharing messages of support following the news that Dinsdale Spa Golf Club, in Darlington, will close in the coming weeks. ‌However, a number of statements have been shared by nearby clubs, including Blackwell Grange Golf Club, Castle Eden Golf Club, Darlington Golf Club, and Eaglescliffe Golf Club, expressing their sadness at the news. Durham County Golf Union and The Teesside and District Union of Golf Clubs also shared statements on the closure. Durham County Golf Union said: "Durham County Golf Union were deeply saddened to be informed by the owners of Dinsdale Golf Club that the club will close at the end of March.
