Neighbourhood Hub branches differ from Sainsbury’s Local stores by being larger, at between 5,000 sq ft and 7,000 sq ft, and offering a wider range of products. Sainsbury’s first unveiled its Neighbourhood Hub format in 2019 with a trial store in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire. The company said the vision for Neighbourhood Hub stores is to be the best “in neighbourhood” one-stop offer, with product choice and community at heart. Graham Biggart, Sainsbury’s director of commercial operations previously said: “Our Neighbourhood Hub stores have the community at heart and offer our customers the opportunity to complete their shopping closer to home.
