Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has launched a peace campaign on prominent social media platforms, following a court directive as the only way to have his hate speech case dropped. While the court declined the withdrawal but asked the MP to conduct a 14-day social media peace campaign, which Salasya has formally begun. NCIC collaborated with the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and formally charged him, before the court later tasked NCIC to oversee a settlement outside court.
