March 27, 2021 by News Admin No CommentsSaliya Pieris, PC was inducted as the 26th President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) during the BASL Convocation held today. The election to select BASL President was held in February where Saliya Pieris, PC was declared the winner having secured 5,162 votes against 2,807 votes secured by Kuvera De Zoysa, PC. Attorney General Dappula De Livera, Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya and members of the BASL were present at the occasion.
