Forensic experts who exhumed the remains of Salvador Dalí to settle a paternity suit said today that the artist’s moustache remained intact almost thirty years after he was buried. Hair, bones and nails were extracted from the surrealist painter’s mummified remains to determine if a fortuneteller is the daughter of the surrealist. María Pilar Abel Martínez, 61, a tarot card reader, said she was the fruit of an affair between Dalí and her mother in the 1950s. If her claim is successful she could be entitled to a quarter share in the estate of the late artist, which is valued at €300 million.
