MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Ombudsman has urged the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan to deny the request of Muntinlupa City Rep. Rozzano Rufino “Ruffy” Biazon to leave the country for 18 days for a holiday vacation with his family in Europe. Biazon attached in his motion an authorization to travel granted by House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez. Biazon also assured the court that he will return to the country as proven by his previous foreign trip. Foremost is the restriction on the right to travel of persons charged of crimes before the courts,” the prosecution said. In July of this year, the court allowed Biazon to join his fellow congressmen in an official visit at electronic passport (e-passport) production sites in Milan, Italy and in Zurich, Switzerland.
