No-confid­ence motion cannot be brough­t agains­t Senate chairm­an till Septem­ber 12Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani will chair his first regular session of the Upper House on Monday. Sanjrani had chaired the remaining part of the session after his election as chairman during which the Senate elected Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla was elected. The Senate is a continuous house, half of its members retire after every three years on completion of their six-year term. Sanjrani was in conversation with Takashi Kurai, Ambassador of Japan in Pakistan who visited the Parliament House to call on Chairman Senate on Monday. Japanese Ambassador congratulated the Chairman and recalled Pakistan’s support after World War-II.
