DAVAO City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio expressed confidence that her running mate, presidential candidate Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., will win in Mindanao. The Davao Region was the last on the tandem's agenda on Wednesday with rallies scheduled in Carmen, Davao del Norte; Pantukan in Davao de Oro; and in Davao del Sur. The tandem first visited Davao del Norte, a province led by Gov. Asked how he intends to court Davao del Norte voters, Marcos told reporters, "The crowd understands the message very well; that is the most important part." Meanwhile, former Davao del Norte governor Anthony del Rosario, who now serves as the secretary-general of the Hugpong ng Pagbabago, is also confident that Marcos will win in the province.
