Especially when the biggest convincing fake in politics — former President Donald Trump — has made lies about the 2020 presidential election the bedrock of his campaign to return to the White House. In response, voters are going to have to exercise a little sophistication of their own. A steady diet of their content would make for a far better-informed voter than the opinion-heavy, conspiracy-laden websites too many voters visit exclusively. Forwarding on a social media post that lauds a favored candidate is no different than doing the same with a critical story about the political opposition.
