Newly released data reveals an almost doubling of the number of people who said they slept rough before presenting as homeless. The information also shows the number of homeless people in hotels and B&Bs has seen a big rise. Last month, a continual rise in people in emergency and temporary accommodation led to Glasgow City Council declaring a housing emergency and calling for more resources to allow it to deal with the crisis.
