more-inThe ongoing agitation over the alleged sexual abuse of a kindergarten student at the G.D. Birla Centre for Education in Kolkata spread to another school on Monday, as guardians of students of another private school on the southern fringes of the city staged a protest. Alleging that a kindergarten student at the M.P. Birla Foundation Higher Secondary School was sexually abused by a member of the school’s staff, guardians accused police and school authorities of inaction. “The protesters were blocking school buses for several hours. So police resorted to mild baton charge to disperse them,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Supratim Sarkar told journalists.
