School is out again on the northeast Avalon, as the region continues to dig out from this winter’s biggest storm. The province's school board made the call at 6 a.m. NT to keep all schools in the metro St. John's region closed for the day, as well as a number of cancellations and delays in other parts of eastern and central Newfoundland. Snowfall totals are still trickling in, but parts of the metro region recorded 50-60 cm of snow as of Wednesday evening, with more snow falling overnight. Provincial government offices are also closed in the metro region, with an update coming at 11 a.m.All courts in the city are closed for the morning, with an update at 11 a.m. The walloping of snow led the RCMP to issue a warning to the public on Wednesday to avoid dumping snow on roadways.
