School Lettings Solutions (SLS), which arranged for school facilities such as football pitches to be hired during evenings and weekends, blamed the pandemic for its closure. Hundreds of schools are owed money, with the Ark chain of 37 academies having lost almost half a million pounds. The Harris Federation, an academy trust with 50 schools in London and Essex, has lost £176,000.
