US charity PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) sent someone undercover into the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center. Over the course of six months the investigator watched how close to 2,000 monkeys were treated at the University of Wisconsin–Madison run lab. According to the PETA report published this week workers at the lab referred to certain monkeys as 'semen donors'. (Image: PETA)"The monkeys are then strapped into a restraint chair, and experimenters electroshock their penises until they ejaculate. "Amputations of parts of fingers, toes, and tails were a common result of the traumatic injuries sustained by monkeys in WNPRC’s care.
