All smiles from the clever members of the winning team in the senior category at the annual Tullamore Credit Union Quiz, who represented their school, Scoil Shinchill, Killeigh with distinction at the event. Scoil Shinchill, Killeigh emerge as winners of credit union quizThe clever pupils from Scoil Shinchill in Killeigh beat off very stiff competition from schools right around county Offaly to emerge as winners of the senior category at the hugely-popular annual quiz organised by Tullamore Credit Union last week. The winning team will now go on to compete in the Credit Union Schools Quiz National Final which takes place in Dublin's RDS on Sunday, April 19 next. Scoil Shinchill paid tribute to all their pupils in a Facebook post and described the event as "a fantastic night" for the whole school community, with the Junior Team from Killeigh also performing very well. The school said it was so proud of both its Senior and Junior Teams who put in massive work" in preparation for the quiz, and they also paid tribute to teachers, Ms Murray and Ms Gannon who helped prepare the teams in advance of the credit union quiz.
