Football fans who are attending the sold-out clash between Scotland and England at Hampden Park have been warned that strike action could disrupt their plans. GMB Scotland said they were targeting the Scotland V England game due to the difference in the pay offer made to council colleagues south of the border. Workers are taking action after council staff rejected a 5.5 per cent pay offer from Cosla who meet again on Friday for a final attempt to avert the strike action. England fans have received only 2,901 tickets for the match, with the stadium having a capacity of 51,866. Tartan Army spokesman Hamish Husband said that while he was sympathetic to underpaid workers, he believed the main people who would lose out due to the strike action would be local residents.
