Pupils caught sharing test papers on social media could be stripped of their qualifications under guidance to schools from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). It said that pupils should face “appropriate penalties” after it emerged that questions were being shared online, including on TikTok, the video site. About 93 per cent of pupils are now back to face-to-face teaching but some are still working remotely, including those who are shielding or self-isolating.
