‌Birchwood in Lincoln was selected as one of areas most in need of funding through the national Pride in Place scheme. ‌The City of Lincoln Council is setting up a neighbourhood board of local people and organisations to lead the investment, with applications open now for a chairperson and deputy chairperson. “We are looking for people with a strong connection to Birchwood who are passionate about improving their community,” she said. Pride in Place is about putting real power into the hands of local communities so residents can help shape the future of their neighbourhood. A launch event and community fun day will take place on May 31.
