A tour of the Chatham Islands aboard the Spirit of Enderby expedition cruise ship [above] is being organised by Invercargill travel agent Tony Laker. Chartering an expedition cruise ship to locations such as the Snares and Stewart islands - and soon the Chatham Islands - wasn't on Tony Laker’s radar this time last year. He chartered the Spirit of Enderby expedition cruise ship to take 35 people to Stewart Island, The Snares Islands and Fiordland in late January. And now he’s chartered the same boat for a trip around the Chatham Islands from March 21-28. The Spirit of Enderby travellers would be flown to the Chatham Islands, as part of the travel package, where the ship would be waiting for the cruise to begin.
